My name is Beatriz Magdaleno, I enjoy every moment that I work with children. Over the past 19 years my growth in early childhood has been immense. I began at Moorpark College taking classes while raising my first child and working as an aide. After completing 24 units in early childhood education, I began a career as a preschool teacher. I continued my education and received my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education through the University of Laverne. I have been a part working with Moorpark College as a mentor teacher for 4 years. Through the California Mentor Teaching Program I am able to provide support for student teachers that are entering the field by guiding and modeling intentional teaching strategies. This is an important part of what I do because I receive trainings that help me to mentor staff as well. I am the Assistant Director here at Little Dreamers in conjunction with teaching. I help to develop and implement curriculum that is aligned with the school philosophy. I help to guide, coach and mentor staff at the center. I love what I do and appreciate every moment and every learning opportunity!
My children are also a huge influence on my decision to continue my career. In this field I believe you can never know it all there is always much to be learned. I am committed to continuing my education in order to succeed in this field and hope that as a mentor, assistant director and teacher I can bring share my knowledge, curiosity and passion with everyone.
